WHY IS THE SUN HOT?

The sun is hot because it is undergoing a continuous thermonuclear explosion. Sun is called because of a process called "nuclear fusion". Hydrogen fuses to form helium. The fusion releases energy, heat and light.

WHY IS THE MOON COLD?

Moon is cold because the part of the moon we see never faces the sun, but the other side which forever faces the sun is hot. Sun and other stars create thermonuclear fusion, which releases enormous amounts of energy - heat, light.

Moon is made out of rocks similar to that on Earth and gets all the light and heat from the sun.

HOW DOES ELECTRICITY GET TO OUR

HOMES?

Electricity plants convert the energy from the raw materials of the Earth into electrical current. This is done with the help of huge generators, which are driven by water, steam, or wind. Electricity is then distributed at a high voltage through cables laid in the ground or through overhead lines, on which often birds it on swarms. Substations then produce electricity, which finally comes out of the sockets in our homes: 230 volts alternating current. Fuses protect us and our property from damages.

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

The digestive system consists of mouth, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine and anus.

The food enters the mouth and mixes with salaiva it then goes into the oesophagus and moves down to the stomach slowly. This slow movement of food through the oesophagus to stomach is called PERISTALSIS.

Once the food reaches the stomach hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes convert the food into a semi solid CHYME.

The chyme passes through the duodenum and enters the small intestine where nutrients are absorbed from the chyme. The chyme then passes through the large intestine where further absorption takes place. The waste food is excreted through the anus.
